Overview of State Department US

The US State Department was created in nineteen seventy-nine through the Department of Education Organization Act during the presidential administration of President Jimmy Carter. The US Dept of state education employs about five thousand employees and is led by the Cabinet. The Cabinet is under the supervision of the Secretary of the Cabinet. The US Dept of State Education had originally been combined with the United States Department of Health, Education, and Welfare. This State Department US agency was divided into three separate state department sections.

State Department: Duties of US Dept of State

A duty of the US Department Education is to administer federal assistance to each state education department. Another duty of the US Department of Education is to coordinate money assistance to US Dept of Education and each Secretary of State. A further responsibility of state dept. of education is set policy for state department US education. An additional responsibility for state dept. of education is making sure US state department education laws are followed. The various state departments of education also does data collection on schools from each state department education office and Secretary of State. The state department US also makes sure state department and US Dept. of State civil rights are followed.

Complaints about US Dept of State Education

Many citizens have complained to the Secretary of State, US Dept. Department of State, the State Department, and individual state authorities that the federal education is unconstitutional. Citizens use the tenth amendment to support their claim to the Secretary of State; which they believe only gives each state authority over schools and education. The US Dept. Department of State, the State Department Education, and Secretary of State have responded that the State Department US is constitutional.

Presidents and State Education Departments

In nineteen-eighty, President Ronald Reagan promised to shut down or eliminate the US department Education to have it change to power of individual State Education departments. Each department still did not receive exclusive power of their state education cabinet. Therefore the next president George H. W. Bush was asked to reverse the power from US department Education to individual department cabinets. He refused to reverse the power of State Department US to individual State cabinets. He and the Republican Party instead made changes to the State education US roles and informed the State cabinet offices of the changes. Between nineteen ninety-six and the year two thousand, Senator Bob Dole and the Republican Caucus vowed to close State Department US and to give power to each individual departments.

State Department: No Child Left Behind and US Dept of State

The No Child Left Behind law of the year two thousand and one of the state department education is a controversial law passed through the Secretary of State by promotion of the US Dept of state but implemented in each state department. The No Child Left Behind law is enforced by US Dept. of state but managed by each individual state department and Secretary of State. Each state department education must report statistics of the No Child Left Behind law to the state department US.

Requirements of NCLB and Each States Educational Department

The No Child Left Behind law requires each state department to measure student standards. Each state department must set high teacher standards. Each state department must set high teacher goals. Each state department must set standards of high student goals. Each US Dept of state must assess student’s basic skills in math. Each US Dept of State must assess student’s basic skills in reading. The No Child Left Behind law refers to these State Department Education requirements as standard-based educational reform to be implemented at each state department level under guidelines of US Department Education.

Responsibilities of Secretary of State of State Department

Each Secretary of State must report the scores of the measurement of student standards. The secretary of each state must report each student’s testing scores in math skills. They must report each student’s score in reading skills. They must enforce the high standard of each student goals at the elementary school, middle school, and high school level of state department education. They must report on the high quality standards of each teacher to the state department education. They must report test results to prove adequate yearly progression of students enrolled in the fifth grade in order for state department education to receive funding from title one from US Dept of State.

Ramifications for State Department US Schools

US dept of State elementary schools, middle schools, and high schools with low progress scores are reported to the Secretary of State. Each Secretary of State from each state department US reports low achieving progress schools to the US Dept. of State. The US Dept. of State then notifies the Secretary of State to make changes to the schools within each school. Each State Department Education must allow each student at the elementary, school, middle school, and high school level to transfer to a different school within its state department education geographic region during the second year of failing No Child Left Behind scores. During the third year of score failure the Secretary of State must begin to offer free tutoring and supplemental teaching and training opportunities for each of its state department school regions. Failure to have adequate scoring during the fourth year of No Child Left Behind assessments requires drastic changes for each state department education in its region that failed. Each US Dept. of state can order all teaching staff to be replaced. Each US Dept of state can order all administrators to be replaced. Each US Dept of state can order curriculum to be changed in the state department education schools. The state department education notifies each Secretary of State that they must extend the students school day in each state department school which failed the No Child Left Behind law. During the fifth and sixth year of failing the No Child Left Behind law; the Secretary of State must notify each state department region in their district to begin a plan and implement that plan to entirely restructure the failing schools by order of the state department education.
